漫畫里面的大概內容是這樣的：一個女同學和一個男同學走在放學的路上，突然看到路邊的一個垃圾桶旁堆了許多垃圾，還散發者一陣陣難聞的惡臭。女同學提議說要把垃圾撿回垃圾桶里，而男同學望著女同學的書包，突然靈機一動，便從自己的書包里取出筆和紙，用筆在紙上端端正正地寫上：文明只差一步。女同學則把垃圾桶外的垃圾一件一件地撿回垃圾桶里。最后，他們一起把寫有“文明只差一步”的紙貼在了垃圾桶上。
