但是，孫少平的愛情經歷卻十分悲慘。田曉霞，本來是孫少平的同學，后來成了他的女友，她大學畢業之后，當上了記者。接著，黃原發生洪水，她挺身而出，卻在救人時不小心溺水身亡了。
讀完這本書后，我心如書名一樣，平靜又平凡的接受了平淡的結局。但是，他們發生的事激勵著我——無論多平凡的人也應為其生活的世界奮斗!
