The first period: The road to modern English (Reading)
教學(xué)內(nèi)容分析
本單元以“世界英語”為中心話題，旨在通過本單元的學(xué)習(xí)讓學(xué)生粗略了解世界英語的發(fā)展?fàn)顩r，認(rèn)識(shí)各種各樣具有民族、地域特色的英語以及它們的出現(xiàn)原因和不同之處。同時(shí)讓學(xué)生能夠區(qū)分、轉(zhuǎn)述帶“命令”或“請求”語氣的祈使句，并讓學(xué)生能用所學(xué)構(gòu)思方法寫一篇關(guān)于學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)的作文。本節(jié)課為閱讀課，包括Warming-up, Pre-reading, Reading和Comprehending四個(gè)部分。Warming up介紹世界英語，要求學(xué)生區(qū)分英美語單詞。此部分的目的是豐富學(xué)生有關(guān)世界英語的知識(shí)，激發(fā)學(xué)生對英語發(fā)展歷史的'興趣。Pre－reading 部分設(shè)置了兩個(gè)與主題有關(guān)世界英語的問題。在激活學(xué)生已有的知識(shí)的同時(shí)引導(dǎo)學(xué)生為下一步閱讀做好準(zhǔn)備。Reading部分簡單地說明英語語言的起源、發(fā)展變化、行成原因，以及它的發(fā)展趨勢。Comprehending 部分旨在檢測學(xué)生對課文基本內(nèi)容的理解程度。具體操作時(shí)根據(jù)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況對教材有所調(diào)整。

Enable the students to describe the history of English and know of the differences betweenAmerican English and Britain English.

Help the students learn how to analyze the way author describe the history of English.
Teaching important points
Divide the text into two parts and find the main idea of each paragraph.
Teaching difficult points
Work together with the partners and express one’s opinion on why people all over the world want to
learn English.
