As an old saying goes, whereas conceit makes one lag behind, modesty helps one to make progress. This other words yes, if we self-righteous, so will fail, if modest, will be successful! In my life road, there is one thing, let me get the unforgettable lesson.
That afternoon, the language teacher said to us: "the first unit test tomorrow, please take review and fight for testing a good result!" Listen to the teacher, I sigh, said: "to the exam again!" Pass the exam, I didn't understand what is called modesty helps one to make progress, pride is a person lag behind. Also I really understand the meaning of this sentence. Mr Lao she once said "complacency is a proud of our trap, and, this trap is we dig myself." So, we must not proud, can not give their own proud of trap, because of this, you will only destroy yourself.
It gave me a very hard lesson, I want to turn grief into strength, remember the lesson of the complacency brings me.

那天下午，語文老師對我們說：“明天考試第一單元，請抓緊復(fù)習(xí)，爭取考一個好成績!”聽了老師的話，我長嘆一聲，說：“又要考試!”回到家，我也沒有認(rèn)真復(fù)習(xí)，自已認(rèn)為書上的知識都掌握了，不用那么枯燥的復(fù)習(xí)了。只拿著書在哪兒亂翻了一陣后，放進了書包里。第二天，媽媽送我去上學(xué)的時候，對我說：“今天考試一定要認(rèn)真答題，認(rèn)真檢查，不能馬虎!”我嘴上答應(yīng)著，而心里根本沒有在意媽媽說的話······開始考試了，我一看卷子，那些題目都那么的簡單，我便拿起筆，刷刷的寫了起來，我把媽媽的話早已拋到了九霄云外!寫完卷子，一看時間還早，便四處張望起來，我看著那些同學(xué)們，正在抓耳撓腮的想題，心里美滋滋的。心想：看把他們難的，這次第一肯定非我莫屬!
過了幾天，老師發(fā)下來卷子，“第一名丁欣雨，第二名劉謙謙······”直到念到第十名，還沒有我的`名字，就在老師念倒數(shù)同學(xué)名字的時候，我聽到老師說：“王昭，53·5分(滿分70分)”的時候，我不敢相信自己的耳朵，我怎么才考53·5分啊!我慢吞的走上講臺，領(lǐng)回了卷子，一看卷子上的錯題，不禁大吃一驚，這些題都是粗心大意造成的，我非常后悔當(dāng)初沒有認(rèn)真答題，可是，現(xiàn)在后悔還有什么用呢?世界上沒有賣后悔藥的。回到家，我非常不安的把卷子交給媽媽看，心想：這次一定會面臨一場“火山爆發(fā)”，媽媽看了卷子之后，狠狠的教訓(xùn)了我一頓，有耐心的幫我分析了失誤的原因。
那天晚上，我一直都在想：當(dāng)時那么充足的時間，我為什么不好好檢查呢?還有，那天下午，老師給了我們那么富裕的時間讓我們復(fù)習(xí)，可我卻自以為是，才造成了這樣的結(jié)果，真是驕兵必敗呀!考不好的滋味可真不好受，我以后一定要學(xué)會謙虛，即是課本上的只是我都掌握了，我也應(yīng)該在復(fù)習(xí)一下，因為溫故而知新。通過這次考試，我才明白了什么叫謙虛使人進步，驕傲是人落后。也是我真正明白了這句話的含義。老舍先生曾經(jīng)說過“驕傲自滿是我們的一座驕傲的陷阱，而且，這陷阱是我們自己親手挖掘的。”所以，我們決不能驕傲，絕不能給自己挖掘驕傲的陷阱，因為這樣，你只會毀滅了你自己。
這件事給了我非常沉痛的教訓(xùn)，我要化悲痛為力量，記住這次驕傲自滿帶給我的教訓(xùn)。
