Social network websites have rapidly increased in popularity over the past few years. Many people have registered and become members of some social network websites such as Facebook Kaixin and Twitter. These websites have become a part of their daily life.
People’s opinions vary greatly on social network sites. Supporters regard social network websites as places to share feelings and experiences with their friends. Besides they say these websites provide various interesting games and can help people relax. However opponents think it is difficult to protect users’ privacy on social network sites. Apart from that they maintain that users’ chances to gain employment may be reduced as more and more employers take the images which users portray on social network sites into consideration.
As far as I’m concerned social network sites serve as a good platform for us to make new friends and keep in touch with old ones. Still we should be aware of the potential dangers involved. It is very necessary to adjust our privacy settings to control who has access to our personal information.
As been popular in young people’s daily life the social network service have influenced not only the ways we are socializing but also the culture and the tradition of the country.
自從社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)在年輕人的生活里變得普遍，它不但影響了我們社交的方式，也影響了這個(gè)國(guó)家的文化和傳統(tǒng)。
Take the spring festival as an example traditionally in the evening of the Chinese New Year eve the whole family usually would have a reunion meal. Many of the family members are not really be at home quite often spending time with others especially with their old parents so this reunion meal is very important for every family to have a chance to talk enjoy the together time. But today all has changed. The most common look of the reunion meal now is that all young people eat quietly meanwhile the eyes are staring at their cell phone checking out their “Friend Circle” to see if anyone the status. They only make sounds when someone grab a red envelop with very lousy money in it. The old parents feel awkward when facing this weird situation no one would even like to talk to them the reunion meal turns out that there is just a bunch of strange people eating at the same table.
就拿春節(jié)來(lái)說，傳統(tǒng)上說，在除夕的晚上，全家人通常會(huì)在一起吃團(tuán)圓飯。許多人也沒有真正經(jīng)常呆在家里跟家人在一起，尤其是跟老人們?cè)谝黄穑詧F(tuán)圓飯尤其重要，大家可以一起聊聊天，享受在一起的時(shí)光。但是如今一切都變了。團(tuán)圓飯最普遍的畫面就是，年輕人們都安安靜靜的吃飯，眼鏡死死的盯著手機(jī)，查看他們的“朋友圈”有沒有人更新狀態(tài)。只有在他們搶到一個(gè)紅包的時(shí)候才會(huì)發(fā)出聲響，而紅包里的錢少得可憐。老人們?cè)诿鎸?duì)這種怪異的`場(chǎng)面時(shí)異常尷尬，沒人愿意跟他們說說話，團(tuán)圓飯變成了只是一群陌生的人在同一張桌子吃飯而已。
And the TV shows are pushing this more far ahead. They will set some interactive sessions to encourage people use the social network service on their cell phone to get some bonus. So even TV time people still stick to their cell phone and have no word for others sitting around. Seems like the social network service is completely replace the normal communication offline. That will obviously ruin the relationship with family.
而電視節(jié)目也在推波助瀾。他們會(huì)設(shè)置一些互動(dòng)環(huán)節(jié)，鼓勵(lì)觀眾用他們的手機(jī)上的社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)服務(wù)獲取一些獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)。所以即使是看電視的時(shí)候，人們也始終跟手機(jī)粘在了一起，不跟周圍的人說一句話。好像社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)已經(jīng)完全代替了正常的線下交流。這顯然會(huì)破壞家庭關(guān)系。
I wouldn’t say the social network service is all bad but somehow I prefer to communicate face to face with someone I really care.
我不是說社交網(wǎng)絡(luò)有什么不好，但是我想我更喜歡跟我在乎的人面對(duì)面進(jìn)行交流。
