Once Preident Rooevelt’ houe wa broken into and lot of thing were tolen.Hearing thi， one of Rooevelt’ friend wrote to him and advied him not to take it to hi heart o much. Preident Rooevelt wrote back immediately， aying，”Dear friend， thank you for your letter to comfort me. I’m all right now. I think I hould thank God. Thi i becaue of the following three reaon： firtly， the thief only tole thing from me but did not hurt me at all； econdly， the thief ha tolen ome of my thing intead of all my thing； thirdly， mot luckily for me， it wa the man rather than me who became a thief…”
It wa quite unlucky for anyone to be tolen from.. However， Preident Rooevelt had uch three reaon to be o grateful. Thi tory tell u how we can learn to be grateful in our life.
Being grateful i an important philoophy of life and a GREat widom.. It i impoible for anyone to be lucky and ucceful all the time o long a he live in the world. We hould learn how to face failure or mifortune bravely and generouly and to try to deal with it. If o， hould we complain about our life and become frutrated and diappointed ever ince then or hould we be grateful for our life， rie again ourelve after a fall？ William Thackeray， a famou Britih writer， aid， “Life i a mirror. When you mile in front of it ， it will alo mile and o will it when you cry to it.” If you are grateful to life， it will bring you hining unlight. If you alway complain about everything， you may own nothing in the end. When we are ucceful， we can urely have many reaon for being grateful， but we have only one excue to how ungratefulne if we fail.
I think we hould even be grateful to life whenever we are unucceful or unlucky. Only by doing thi can we find our weakne and hortcoming when we fail. We can alo get relief and warmth when we are unlucky. Thi can help u find our courage to overcome the difficultie we may face， and receive great impetu to move on. We hould treat our frutration and mifortune in our life in the other way jut a Preident Rooevelt did. We hould be grateful all the time and keep having a healthy attitude to our life forever， keep having perfect character and enterpriing pirit. Being grateful i not only a kind of comfort， not an ecape from life and nor thinking of winning in pirit like Ah Q. Being grateful i a way to ing for our life which come jut from our love and hope.
