這四個姐妹的性格各不相同，但她們在這段日子中，改掉了許多缺點，她們互相愛護，互相謙讓，雖然有時也控制不住自己，會鬧些小別扭，但很快就和解了。甚至有一次，貝思患上了猩紅熱，差點被奪去生命，媽媽又去了遠方。是兩個姐姐細心地照顧她。貝思患病時，梅格和喬寢食難安，擔心著妹妹，連最小的艾米也十分焦急。骨肉親情真是太偉大了!
