This is my first time to write an blog or something like this. Today is my last day in school and tomorrow I will catch an early airplane, flying to Chanchun, north of China.
As for my last winter vocation, really, I have a bunch of things to do. My dissertation, lots of homework assignment, and most importantly, preparing for TEM-8.
Looking back, I think I have accomplished a lot and more efforts should be done in the future. I have did an internship in my summer holiday, gettiing a little bit idea of what's life like to be an office lady. Study extremely hard, I have won several schorlarships in the past three years. This may not mean much but at leat it proves that i really learned something in university and i learned it well and I wanna say that i really love my major. It is a pity that I am going to graduate from university in the coming June. If time permit, i hope I could stay at university forever. In this case, who will support my life? Well that's a good question.
Today, I encounter my listening teacher who taught me when Iwas a freshman. And she asked me what am i going to do in the future. I hestiated a little while and said mybe an English teacher because as a teacher I enjoy more freedom while working in a company, you have to follow rigid timetable and are forced to work overtime sometimes. I do not like to be restricted like a bird in cage. I enjoy freedom. So I's prefer being a teacher. Anyway, who knows.
So much has been said about my aspiration, my university life, see you after I am back from Changchun.

I always believe that， as a college student， we are expected to make full use of the winter vacation. It is a good time to participate in social activities. Therefore， I made up my mind to get involved in voluntary work and devote myself to community service.
Originally， I was arranged to visit The Home For The Elderly in our community with others. Since it’s the first time for me to take good care of the strangers， I prepared a lot in advance. Then， I started my brand-new experience.
Upon our arrival， we were warmly welcomed by the elderly who were sitting in the yard and bathed in the sunlight. I deeply realized that， one day， I would become one of them with sparse hair and deep wrinkles. At that time， I wouldn’t depend on myself totally and I might long for others’ care to some extent. When I have to be confronted with the fact which will inevitable happen in the future， I would like to spare some time to take care of the elderly to make contributions to myself and society at present .
When it was time for us to leave， they said， it was a rather nice day and thanked for our kindness. As for me， I obtained a lot about this great experience. “Thank you for your lesson.”

I was born in Guangdong, the southernmost province in mainland China where in winter the temperature seldom falls be low 5C. For the past 19 years, I had never seen snow. I couldn‘t remember from when I had been dreaming of seeing a real snow, and experiencing a bleak winter.
Before I entered the university, I had never expected the climate difference of Shanghai and Guangzhou. But as October came, the falling golden leaves and the chilly winds indicated that this winter would be cold.
October walked away in the whisper of the falling leaves.Winter approached in November, and then December.
The dazzling golden color already faded away, leaving only the bare branches sticking out into the frosty air. Grass that was once as thick as a fine cardigan carpet could no longer be found anywhere. What I saw were the slushy fields which were jade green in September.
I considered it a great fortune to watch the sun, which was mild, jumping off the horizon and into those bare branches.Even on sunny days, the temperature was still low. The campus was left deserted and lifeless.
Was this what I had been longing for? Could it be called a bleak winter? I thought I should feel satisfied. Shanghai is still in the south. I couldn‘t expect more. But there was still some thing in my mind, as it was only one step to my dream. I prayed every day for a snow. A slight one could be enough. Once again.God heard.
I‘ll never forget the morning of Christmas. On my way to the library, a white elf found its way into my coat. It took me more than a minute to realize what was happening. Believe it or not, it snowed. Suddenly I understood why God took all the signs of life away in winter. Tears welled up in my eyes, for my thankfulness to God and to the special, bleak winter.

The wind gently murmured,puffed and sometimes sighed like a summer breeze lifting the leaves along the livelong night.The cat was curling up quiet in her bed.The mouse was sleeping carefree in his gallery.The dog was lying swwet on the sofa.Even the earth itself was sleeping in tranquility,exept that some house door faintly creaked upon its hinge,telling us a remote inward warmth.Nature was at her midnight work with feathery flakes whirling down in the wind,as if she was showering her silvery seeds over the fields.
Finally I woke up.The floor creaked under my feet as I moved towards the window.The snow as warm as cotton was lying calmly upon the window sill and the stillness of the morning was extremely impressive.
The roofs were standing under their snow caps,while the eaves were wearing their glittering ornaments.The trees raised white arms to the sky on every side,and where there was a wall,there were some fantastic forms of snow stretching exhilarated in the dim landscape,as if Nature had carved her fresh desighs by night as models for man's art.
Silently,I opened the door and stepped outside to face the cutting air.The moon had already lost some of its glow and the land was bathed in a dull mist.A lurid light in the east proclaimed the approach of day while the weatern landscape was bleak with some spooky stillness like a wizard kingdom.What you could only hear was the creepy sounds,seemingly out of the hell----the barking of dogs,the hammering of blacksmith,the lowing of cows and the crying of pigs under the butcher's knife.
Gradually,the lurid light darkened and spread across the west.Every flower,every tree and
every weed were bathed in the sunshine.Suddenly,it turned out that all the sounds were not for any melancholy they suggested,but for their twilight bustle which was too solemn and mysterious for me.
I moved om,treading briskly along the road,the dry and crisped snow crunching under my feet.
