i enjoy go on line ,for i can do whatever i like ,such as talking with my friends,chatting with my teacher and also listenning some music.however, what i like most is to read electrical magzine or watch some english films.i can also know the lastest news about the world instently. as i am a student ,i do not have much time surffing the internet..

And the way I got interested in this was, I noticed in myself, when I was growing up, and until about a few years ago, that I would want to say thank you to someone, I would want to praise them, I would want to take in their praise of me and I'd just stop it. And I asked myself, why? I felt shy, I felt embarrassed. And then my question became, am I the only one who does this? So, I decided to investigate.

I'm fortunate enough to work in the rehab facility, so I get to see people who are facing life and death with addiction. And sometimes it comes down to something as simple as, their core wound is their father died without ever saying he's proud of them. But then, they hear from all the family and friends that the father told everybody else that he was proud of him, but he never told the son. It's because he didn't know that his son needed to hear it.

So my question is, why don't we ask for the things that we need? I know a gentleman, married for 25 years, who's longing to hear his wife say, "Thank you for being the breadwinner, so I can stay home with the kids," but won't ask. I know a woman who's good at this. She, once a week, meets with her husband and says, "I'd really like you to thank me for all these things I did in the house and with the kids." And he goes, "Oh, this is great, this is great." And praise really does have to be genuine, but she takes responsibility for that. And a friend of mine, April, who I've had since kindergarten, she thanks her children for doing their chores. And she said, "Why wouldn't I thank it, even though they're supposed to do it?"

I want you to true your wheels: be honest about the praise that you need to hear. What do you need to hear? Go home to your wife -- go ask her, what does she need? Go home to your husband -- what does he need? Go home and ask those questions, and then help the people around you.

i was born in beijing and live in beijing, and i love beijing very much. when i heard that beijing will have a chance to hold the 2008 olympic games i feel very happy and excited, and i hope i can do something useful to build beijing into a beautiful and energetic city.
in the twenty-first century, environment is becoming more and more important, so we have "green olympic" as a slogan. of course slogan is just a goal, the most important thing is we should do some things to make it true. such as assort the trash, save the energy and so on. we are still students now, so we can't do anything really big. but if everybody does something good for our environment we could make beijing more beautiful.
in fact the things we can do are easy. like not littering the useless batteries everywhere, assort the trash which we want to throw away, and also protect the animals and plants around us, because they are important parts of the energetic beijing.
luckily i had a chance to take part in an activity that is we planted 5 trees in our campus. my classmates and i worked very hard. this activity doesn't only plant trees, but also contribute to our environment. look at the trees, i believe, tomorrow there will be more trees and flowers standing in beijing and give beijingers a beautiful environment.
we are all chinese people, live on the earth. we have only one capital, just like we have only one earth. if we don't beautify our environment, who will? good environment depends on good human consciousness. we should say that protecting our surroundings is not easy. that's why i'm standing here to summon people do it.

在經(jīng)濟(jì)飛速發(fā)展的21世紀(jì)，環(huán)境的好與壞逐漸成為了衡量一個(gè)城市優(yōu)劣的重要標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。因此，我們有了綠色奧運(yùn)的口號(hào)。當(dāng)然了，口號(hào)是指導(dǎo)，最重要的還是要落實(shí)到行動(dòng)當(dāng)中。諸如垃圾分類(lèi)，綠色能源，綠色發(fā)電等等等等，都是國(guó)家為打造生態(tài)北京、綠色奧運(yùn)做出的不懈努力。當(dāng)然，依舊是學(xué)生的我們或許無(wú)法做什么大事，但如果每一個(gè)人都有心去做一點(diǎn)，那么我們千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)的北京學(xué)子們一定可以讓北京美起來(lái)！
其實(shí)我們要做的也很簡(jiǎn)單：每當(dāng)有用完的廢電池不要亂扔，應(yīng)集中交給回收站處理；每當(dāng)有生活垃圾要扔掉的時(shí)候，應(yīng)認(rèn)真地進(jìn)行垃圾分類(lèi)，再扔進(jìn)垃圾箱內(nèi)；而且我們也應(yīng)當(dāng)學(xué)會(huì)保護(hù)身邊的動(dòng)植物，一花一草，一鳥(niǎo)一蟲(chóng)都是生態(tài)北京的一個(gè)重要組成部分。
非常幸運(yùn)的我曾親身參與過(guò)一次綠色活動(dòng)。就在今年植樹(shù)節(jié)前夕，我和全班同學(xué)一起在校園內(nèi)種了五棵針葉松。那天風(fēng)很大，同學(xué)們鏟土的鏟土，挑水的挑水絲毫不怠慢。我和組里的幾個(gè)男生也運(yùn)起力量將樹(shù)苗放進(jìn)挖好的坑里。十幾分鐘的時(shí)間樹(shù)都栽好了。活動(dòng)稍顯短暫甚至有些倉(cāng)促。但這不只是為給學(xué)校種幾棵樹(shù)。而是自己為了一方環(huán)境做出貢獻(xiàn)，以自己的勞動(dòng)給城市的綠色添上新的一筆。看著眼前的五棵樹(shù)牽手，我堅(jiān)信，明天必將有更多更高大的綠樹(shù)矗立。這片綠色會(huì)從我們心底延伸出去，覆蓋我們的北京城使它充滿(mǎn)活力，生機(jī)勃勃。給綠色奧運(yùn)一個(gè)美麗的環(huán)境，給我們北京的居民們一個(gè)美麗的環(huán)境。

we also recognize our duty to share our blessings with the least among us. throughout the holiday season, schools, churches, synagogues and other generous organizations gather food and clothing for their neighbors in need. many young people give part of their holiday to volunteer at homeleshelters or food pantries. on thanksgiving, and on every day of the year, america is a more hopeful nation because of the volunteers who serve the weak and the vulnerable.
the thanksgiving tradition of compassion and humility dates back to the earliest days of our society. and through the years, our deepest gratitude has often been inspired by the most difficult times. almost four centuries ago, the pilgrims set aside time to thank god after suffering through a bitter winter. george washington held thanksgiving during a trying stay at valley forge. and president lincoln revived the thanksgiving tradition in the midst of a civil war.
the past year has brought many challenges to our nation, and americans have met every one with energy, optimism and faith. after lifting our economy from a recession, manufacturers and entrepreneurs are creating jobs again. volunteers from acrothe country came together to help hurricane victims rebuild. and when the children of beslan, russia suffered a brutal terrorist attack, the world saw america's generous heart in an outpouring of compassion and relief.
the greatest challenges of our time have come to the men and women who protect our nation. we're fortunate to have dedicated firefighters and police officers to keep our streets safe. we're grateful for the homeland security and intelligence personnel who spend long hours on faithful watch. and we give thanks to the men and women of our military who are serving with courage and skill, and ma-ki-ng our entire nation proud.
like generations before them, today's armed forces have liberated captive peoples and shown compassion for the suffering and delivered hope to the oppressed. in the past year, they have fought the terrorists abroad so that we do not have to face those enemies here at home. they've captured a brutal dictator, aided last month's historic election in afghanistan, and help set iraq on the path to democracy.

as commander-in-chief, i've been honored to thank our troops at bases around the world, and i've been inspired by the efforts of private citizens to expretheir own gratitude. this month, i met shauna fleming, a 15-year-old from california who coordinated the mailing of a million thank you letters to military personnel. in october, i met ken porwoll, a world war ii veteran who has devoted years of his retirement to volunteering at a va medical center in minneapolis. and we've seen the generosity of so many organizations, like give2thetroops, a group started in a basement by a mother and son that has sent thousands of care packages to troops in the field.
thanksgiving reminds us that america's true strength is the compassion and decency of our people. i thank all those who volunteer this season, and laura and i wish every american a happy and safe thanksgiving weekend.
